About Nathan Pacheco
Embrace Fresh Perspectives Through Authentic Conversations, Positivity, and Healthy Challenges
As a Licensed Professional Counselor I have a deep belief in the power of self-discovery and mental well-being. Drawing on my background in school counseling, private psychotherapy, and nutrition coaching, I offer a unique blend of expertise to my practice.
I see each individual as the true expert of their own journey. My approach, rooted in modalities like Sandtray Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), is all about creating a safe, non-judgmental space. It's in these moments of exploration that real growth happens.
I specialize in guiding those aged 8 to young adults through life's major transitions — from transitioning into middle school, and post-graduation excitement to the complexities of divorce and career shifts. Stress and anxiety management, mindfulness, coping skills, and wellness coaching are all part of my toolkit. I've got your back.
My Practice
I believe that true healing happens when we find our own strength through introspection and connection with others. My role is to honor your counseling goals, guiding the therapeutic process as we work together to help you build your strengths and resources. Together, we will shape a therapeutic experience tailored just for you.
With a focus on holistic well-being, I can integrate nutrition education into our sessions, recognizing the powerful link between physical and mental health. My expertise in Sandtray Therapy for both adults and children adds a unique and fun dimension to our work together.
Having walked my own path of transformation, I understand the profound impact of a supportive therapeutic relationship. I'm here to listen, to hold space, and to honor your journey at your pace. I'm committed to fostering an environment where growth and healing flourish.
“Emotions aren’t good or bad. Emotions are simply data that is trying to communicate something important to us. Our job is not to get rid of emotions, but just to listen. In this, we change not our emotions but our relationship with them.”
— Renee Jain
Beyond my professional credentials — including a Master of Arts in Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and certifications as a Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Nutrition Coach (Pn1), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) — I'm currently diving into Integrative Medicine, as well as studying Internal Family Systems.
As a proud member of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), I'm dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards in my practice. I'm here to empower you to recognize your worth, just as my mentors and therapists once did for me.
I'm excited for the privilege of joining you on this journey towards self-discovery and well-being. Let's embark on this transformative adventure together.
A Little More About Me
As a therapist, I take joy in hobbies that help me unwind and connect with life's lighter side. Kayaking brings serenity and personal escape. Board games are a delightful way to engage with friends. Singing provides a creative outlet for my self-expression. I'm a superhero geek, inspired by extraordinary tales. These passions enrich my life and deepen client connections, fostering a more relatable and empathetic therapeutic relationship.
